Health scheme to include hospitals outside Goa too

Questioning Deputy Chief Minister Francis D Souza s claims that outsiders are involved in crimes, Mapusa Block Congress President Vijay Bhike on Monday accused the Mapusa MLA of acquiring land and providing it to outsiders for the vote bank.

Addressing a news conference at Mapusa, Bhike alleged that the deputy chief minister had provided various facilities to outsiders, which are not available to the Mapsekars. “The deputy chief minister provides protection to outsiders and all facilities are given in the Mapusa market to these people. Keeping an eye on this vote bank, the government has done injustice to residents of Mapusa,” alleged Bhike. “These illegal settlements have extended from Dattawadi till Ghateshwarnagar,” he patients are guinea pigs. The scheme is not made for GMC or for private hospitals but for the aam aadmi,” he said. He added that since it was the first of its kind, the scheme was sure to have loop holes but that it would be corrected once it was rolled out and implemented.
