Statistics provided by the Met department said Goa has already received 54 inches of rain.
In the last 24 hours, around 7 mm rainfall was recorded and the weatherman forecasts showers at most places in Goa for the next five days.
Wind speeds are expected to be in the region of 45-50 kilometres per hour and fishermen are advised not to venture along the coastal or the open sea for the next 24 hrs.
