Inspection reports on Pernem landslides awaited: Sawant

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced in the House on Tuesday that action against the contractor responsible for the Pernem landslides will be decided after inspection reports, including those by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), are completed and reviewed.

Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar raised concerns about the recent flooding and landslides in the Pernem constituency. He highlighted the difficulties faced by locals and commuters due to these events. Arlekar called for an inquiry into the landslides on NH 66, which caused significant damage and inconvenience to the public.
