Goa Forward Party got a shot in the arm when a key leader of the BJP from Mandrem joined the party on Sunday.
Deepak Kalangutkar, who was also a close associate of former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, announced his resignation from the BJP primary membership recently.
Stating that he was frustrated with the policies of BJP, Kalangutkar alleged that the party had lost its track from its basic principle of serving common people. He said top BJP leaders from the State were giving step-motherly treatment to the core workers from the party.
Meanwhile, welcoming Kalangutkar into the party, Goa Forward President Vijai Sardesai said many more from the ruling party will quit after Dussehra.
