The matter titled ‘Re-install missing slab at Kaziwada in Ponda’, thereby highlighting the plight of two-wheeler riders at this parking area was published in this column recently.
In the absence of the necessary concrete slab, a pothole had developed thereby turning it risky for public at large visiting this area for parking purpose.
Two-wheeler riders were likely to collapse to the ground due to uneven surface at this spot.
Taking a note of this published matter the Ponda Municipal Council officials installed an alternate concrete slab thereby assuring relief to one and all. I am thankful to the higher officials at the Ponda Municipal Council for initiating favourable action in public interest. I am equally thankful to the ‘Goan Team’ for highlighting this sensitive matter.
