Porvorim MLA and former Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte took on Chief Minister Pramod Sawant over the latter's comment that Goa's Covid curve is flattening.
Khaunte said that it is unbecoming of CM Sawant, who is a doctor by profession, to make such unscientific claims.
"Another tall political claim of Covid curve flattening by CM. Neither have Covid deaths stopped nor suffering. Atleast he should remember that he’s a doctor before making such false claims that will make people less careful and endanger their lives," Khaunte tweeted.
He insisted that Covid-19 cases are still spiking and that the disease will be around for a longer period. "It’s also quite unbecoming for a CM to make such unscientific statements. Proof enough that he’s neither a Good Doctor nor a Good CM, rather A Total Failure!" said the Porvorim MLA.
