Land grab accused faces multiple charges in Goa and other states

Panaji: Declared Proclaimed Offender in three cases in Goa and Delhi, Siddhique alias Suleiman Mohammad Khan - arrested on Nov 12 in land fraud cases - has a long criminal history. The accused, operating multiple bank accounts through several girlfriends, has properties in Goa and Belgaum. 


According to Crime Branch SP Rahul Gupta, the accused has seven cases registered at different police stations in Goa, four cases in Hyderabad, three cases in Pune and one case in Delhi in which he is declared as Proclaimed Offender by Delhi Court. He was earlier declared Proclaimed Offender in two cases in Goa 


"He has been lodged in various jails across the country including Yerawada, Tihar, Colvale and Cherlapally (Hyderabad)," the SP said. 


In the land grab cases registered against him, a total of six properties are involved -- one in Mapusa, three in Gaulim Mola and two in Thivim. 


Apart from this, Gupta informed that they identified four more properties which has the accused's likely involvement.


"His personal property identified are in Belgaum and Mapusa which will be attached.

So far he has revealed that he has seven bank accounts in his name. But he has used multiple bank accounts in his girlfriends name. He used to befriend middle age women, used to live with them, used their bank account ATM and sim card to stay hidden. We have frozen one such bank account which had Rs 1.36 Crore Rupees," the officer said. 


The CB further claimed that their probe revealed he has befriended 35 such women and taken their aid.
