Maharashtra is going to the polls on November 20 for 288 seats. This time the elections are crucial as the Shiv Sena formed by Eknath Shinde in 2022 merged with BJP and Devendra Fadnavis as deputy chief minister. In 2014 BJP got 122 seats followed by Shiv Sena with 63, Congress 42 and NCP 41. In 2019, the Shiv Sena with NCP formed Maha Vikas Aghadi party led by Uddhav Thackeray . However in November 22 the Maharashtra saw a big U-turn with Eknath Shinde forming a government with BJP alliance. However Uddhav Thackeray resigned immediately when there was backstabbing by his own party colleague. The Shiv Sena under Uddhav Thackeray claimed a new party symbol of mashal or torch. The coming elections is going to be tough for all parties as there was a big U-turn in state. The tough fight is between Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray and Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde, Congress, BSP, Mahanavnirman Sena by Raj Thackeray. There are 8,95,62,706 registered voters who will decide the fate of party . All the eyes will be on November 23 for results .
