Late evening Belagavi-Goa KTC service

Residents from various parts of north Karnataka who reside in Goa have welcomed Goa government's assurance to start a late evening Belagavi-Goa KTC bus service.
Responding to demands by Kannadigas residing in different parts of north Goa, the KTC will soon commence a new bus service that will leave Sakhali at 8 pm.
Scores of Kannadigas from Belagavi region are residing in Sakhali, Bicholim, Valpoi and neighbouring areas. At present, the last bus to Belagavi leaves from Bicholim at 6 pm and hence, there was a rising demand for a late evening bus.
The Siriganda Kannada Sangh had urged KTC authorities and Sakhali MLA Pramod Sawant for a late evening bus and a similar request was also made to NWKRTC authorities to run a bus from Belagavi at around same time.
According to a press release from Siriganda Kannada Sangha, the Goa government responded favourably to their demand and assured to run a bus service at around 8 pm everyday, which would start functioning shortly.
The bus would travel to Belagavi along the Chorla route. The NWKRTC is also expected to run a bus service to Sakhali at around the same time from Belagavi.
