Stating that the overall progress of Mandrem Constituency is his priority, Mandrem MLA Dayanand Sopte said while the State government will develop the constituency, it needs the support of local panchayats and people.
He was speaking after launching the work to construct a retaining wall at Kannaikwada-Morjim which is being constructed at a cost of Rs 24 lakh.
Morjim Sarpanch Shanti Poke, Panchas Vaishalli Shetgaonkar, Pavan Morje, Villas Morje, Prakash Shirodkar, Mukesh Gadekar, Tushar Shetgaonkar and others were present.
Speaking further Sopte said, “Some works are ongoing and a follow-up will be conducted on some pending works.”
“Hurdles have hampered some development works and I am making all efforts with the government to complete the works,” said Sopte.
