Lokmanya Matrubhumi Puraskar, an award initiated by the Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society, a leading cooperative society in the banking sector, is a platform that recognises and felicitates individuals with outstanding contributions in their respective fields. The award, which has been instrumental in motivating and inspiring thousands of people, was an idea of the Chairman of Lokmanya Society, Kiran Thakur.
Over the years, the Matrubhumi Puraskar has been awarded to some of the most distinguished and renowned personalities such as Padmavibhushan Shivshaheer Babasaheb Purandare, Padmavibhushan Dr Raghunath Anant Mashelkar, and famous banker Eknath Thakur Chairman Saraswat Bank in glittering ceremonies attended by prominent personalities from all walks of life.
The Matrubhumi Puraskar 2023 will be awarded to Acharya Balakrishna, CEO of Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar, in the esteemed presence of Baba Ramdev, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and Shripad Naik, Tourism Minister. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 19 at Azad Maidan in Panaji at 5 pm. Kiran Thakur, Advisory Editor and Chairman of Lokmanya Society will preside over the function.
The Matrubhumi Puraskar is not only a recognition of an individual's achievements but also a platform that brings together some of the most influential and impactful individuals from different fields, providing an opportunity for them to interact and exchange ideas.
