Madgavkars joined citizens across the country as they either clapped their or beat the steel plates to express their gratitude to the corona warriors fighting the battle against the virus.
Right on dot at 5 pm, people from all walks of life came out in their balconies and started clapping in response to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call to applaud the medical staff, including doctors, nurses, paramedics and people involved in maintaining the essential services, who were in the frontline to control the pandemic coronavirus.
While the residents came out in their balconies clapping and clanging their thalis, the Goa police vehicles on the streets blew their sirens for around half an hour as per the instructions from the top brass.
At the Margao police station, the policemen clapped their hands expressing gratitude to the corona warriors.
