Man dies in accident at Nuvem

An unidentified person was killed when he was knocked down by a car at Rumder-Nuvem on Monday morning.

According to Maina-Curtorim police, the car was driven by one Gautam (33), a resident of Sancoale and a native of Gujarat, when he knocked down the deceased at Rumder-Nuvem.

He was arrested by the Maina-Curtorim police. Further investigations are in progress.

MAPUSA Bharatiya Janata Party has registered 4.6 lakh primary members in the membership drive it launched in the last one year. “Almost 45 percent of voters in Goa have been converted into primary members of the BJP,” said Vinay Tendulkar, State President of BJP, while speaking at a news conference in Mapusa. “We also conducted the Maha-Sampark Abhiyan in all the 40 constituencies,” he added.
