Mapusa police apprehend suspects involved in Bodgeshwar Temple theft attempt

In a major breakthrough, the Mapusa police have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in the theft at  Shree Bodgeshwar temple in Mapusa. The accused have been identified as Anand Naik (40) and Sagar Shinde (40), both natives of Karnataka.


The break-in occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, around 4:30 am when the thieves targeted the temple's donation box located at the main entrance, which had his ‘Paduka’. Despite the thieves managing to gain access, alert security personnel thwarted the major robbery attempt, resulting in minimal cash being stolen.
