A day after a section of the newly-elected BJP MLAs had opposed the entry of MGP into the government, leaders of BJP block in Marcaim have demanded that Sudin Dhavalikar should not be inducted in the Cabinet and that the party does not need the support of MGP.
BJP block president Sagar Mulvi said that Dhavalikar has always indulged in politics and played games for his selfish interest.
Stating that the party does not need MGP’s support, Mulvi said Dhavalikar should be shown his place for attacking the BJP during the election campaign.
“A day after the exit poll predicted 5-6 seats to the MGP, Dhavalikar had said he would be the king and the kingmaker. This only showed his greed for power”, he said.
Mulvi also said the BJP at present does not need the support of MGP and can have a comfortable majority with the support of Independents.
Another leader from the Marcaim block also echoed similar sentiments.
Sudesh Bhingi, BJP’s candidate from Marcaim slammed Dhavalikar’s unconditional support to the BJP.
“Sudin has now lost his bargaining power and has offered unconditional support to the government. BJP observers should think twice before giving him any berth”, Bhingi said.
He also said, Dhavalikar despite being in the government last time supported non-BJP candidates in Lok Sabha. The party should not forget this”, he added.
