Margao police has arrested two persons in a case of theft and recovered two mobile phones from their possession valued at around Rs 29,000.
Margao police station in-charge, PI Sachin Narvekar informed that the police has registered the theft case upon the complaint of a contactor, Satish Narvekar carrying out work of GSIDC, for theft of two mobile phones worth Rs 29,000 on May 27 from the temporary tin shed erected for the construction work on the Ring Road, the rear side of the Konkan Railway Station, Margao.
He said the police have placed under arrest two accused persons Holybadshah Mulla, 37, resident of Dabolim and Aslam Kalaigar, 26, resident of Vasco.
Investigations in the case were carried out by PSI Vishwajit Dhavalikar, PSI Sagar Dhatkar, ASI Dilkush Velip, Goraknath Gawas, N Shamir, Vishal Prabhu, Driver “ Prasad Borkar under the supervision of Police Inspector Sachin S Narvekar of Margao Town Police Station and SDPO, Margao Shivendu Bhusan.
