Executive Engineer, asserting that no information was sought from the office on the status of the STP during the court proceedings. The correspondence assumes significance and comes against the backdrop of the affidavit filed by the PWD officials in the High Court giving an undertaking to the court that the 6.75 MLD STP plant will be commissioned by May-end. Incidentally, the JICA officials told the PWD officials that the STP will be commissioned once the trial runs are completed, adding that the officials are in touch with the electricity department to release the power connection.
