Aam Aadmii Party (AAP) leader Ramrao Wagh has targeted St Andre MLA Viresh Borkar for neglecting the cutting mnagroves in his own constituency and focusing on mangroves cutting in St Cruz constituency.
“While Borkar chose to highlight the issue of mangroves cutting in St Cruz constituency, a similar activity in Wadwad-Curca, which is part of St Andre, was neglected by the MLA,” Wagh informed The Goan.
“It was on December 20 that the activity of mangroves cutting was reported by a Curca local and later the Forest Department officials also conducted inspection of the same after complaints to this effect,” Wagh informed and stated that MLA Borkar had told the officials that he would visit the site.
“But the inspection continued till evening and the MLA did not turn up,” Wagh informed.
