A Tata Indigo car was completely gutted in a major fire near the South Goa Collectorate on Friday morning.
No one, however, was injured in the incident.
The incident occurred in the morning when the car caught fire while proceeding towards the KTC bus stand. After seeing smoke billowing from the engine, the alert car driver drove the vehicle towards the internal road to avert any incident.
The driver came out of the car in time before the vehicle was completely gutted.
The Margao fire brigade rushed to the spot to extinguish the blaze.
The car driver informed that he was heading to the KTC bus stand to catch a bus to the Goa Medical College and hospital, Bambolim before the smoke started billowing from the vehicle when it reached the district Collectorate building.
