MMC chief’s car, 2 vehicles collide at Agassaim

Mormugao Municipal Council Chairperson Nandadeep Raut’s official car and two other cars were involved in an accident at Agassaim on Tuesday evening. There were no injuries reported in the incident.  

According to sources, the incident occurred at around 4 pm, when Raut using his official car had left for Mapusa on Tuesday.   

“Raut was driving the car while a woman and two children were seated in the car. Raut had reached the Agassaim bypass when the car in front braked abruptly. Raut also attempted to apply brakes, but his vehicle dashed the car from the rear.”  

“The car which was trailing Raut’s car then rammed into Raut’s car from the rear and the chairperson’s car sustained considerable damages to the front and rear.”  

“Luckily, there were no injuries reported in the incident. Later, both car owners and Raut mutually compromised and there was no case reported with the police,” the source added.
