The Manohar International Airport (MIA) at Mopa on Tuesday added one more airline to list of domestic airlines operating from the airport. The first Vistara flight UK0514 from Bengaluru landed at GMR Goa International Airport at 12.30 pm.
In the initial phase, Vistara will commence two departures per day from the airport.
With this addition, five airlines, IndiGo, Go First, Akasa, Spicejet and Vistara, have now started domestic flight operations to and from MIA.
The MIA now connects Goa to 11 destinations with direct to and fro flights, Delhi, Mumbai Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Pune.
Speaking on the occasion, GMR Goa International Airport (GGIAL) CEO R V Sheshan said, “Today, we welcome our new airline partner. Gradual and constant growth in the number of passengers, partners and stakeholders since the launch, reiterate the confidence our partners have in us.”
