Moraes granted anticipatory bail

: The South Goa Sessions Court has granted anticipatory bail to Cuncolim Municipal vice-Chairperson, Mario Moraes, in connection with the FIR lodged by the police on a complaint from CMC Chief Officer, Pandarinath Naik.

The Court had directed the police to release Moraes on a bail of Rs 10,000 with one surety in the event of his arrest. He was also directed to report to the Cuncolim Police station for three days in the morning session for the purpose of investigation.

The Cuncolim Police had registered an FIR against the CMC vice-chairperson following a complaint from the CMC Chief Officer alleging that Moraes obstructed a municipal staff from discharging her official duties and theft of official correspondence.
