More hot weather forecast
PANAJI: The IMD issuing seasonal forecasts for the country has issued a seasonal forecast for temperature during the 2016 hot weather season which has been prepared by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, Pune. The forecast is likely to have a harsher summer season in the country, with a high probability of above normal activity of severe heat waves. IMD will be providing further updates every 15-20 days through websites and mobile services.
NDMA has formulated guidelines to facilitate the state governments in preparing a heat wave action plan to prevent, mitigate and respond to heat wave.
