The news comes even as compelling evidence has emerged of Kamat’s role in the Louis Berger case. Sources from the Crime Branch have revealed that Kamat, who has all along denied that he had any role in the scandal, had in fact, made himself chairman of a high powered monitoring committee to oversee the JICA project.
“We have encountered a file where there is a handwritten note making the chief minister as the chairman of the committee,” a source familiar with the investigation said.
