MARGAO
Who are three migrant labourers and where do they hail from? Do they have any other place of residence in Goa or had they come to work for Minguel Miranda from their native states?
These are some of the questions that have come to haunt the men-in-uniform as inquiries have revealed that neither the deceased nor the three migrants had filled up the tenants verification forms with the Fatorda police.
Police said the three migrant labourers were believed to have started working for Minguel just a fortnight ago. “Interrogation of the son have revealed that the three workers were engaged in work at the instance of a fish vendor,” a senior police officer said, adding that the details of the fish vendor are also not available.
Given that no information is available on the three migrant workers, the police have launched a manhunt for the three suspects based on the photographs obtained from the CCTV footage.
“The tenant verification rolls of the three workers was not filled up by the owners,” the police officer added.
When DIG Parmaditya was questioned by the media whether the police had conducted verification of the three tenants, who have fled from the place, he said the matter is under verification.
