Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Friday launched e-suvidha online portal for tracking government as well as private investment projects in one place.
The system developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) will allow the government to ‘at-a-glance’ have an overview of the projects in the State and see at what stage of completion they are.
Parsekar said, “It is a wonderful method to expedite the process of investment. I think the State will greatly benefit. Even if there are protests against projects, various authorities will have the status of the project right before them and will be in a better position to answer any query”.
A project proponent will have to upload the project onto the portal and if he encounters any problem, he could upload those queries too which would be attended to at the highest level.
“The chief minister can directly monitor the status of projects and see what is holding them back and follow up with the respective departments to expedite the process,” Additional Secretary PMO, Arun Goyal who is overseeing the implementation in the State said.
The portal can be used to monitor both government projects like that of the Mandovi and Zuari bridges as well as private projects like that of hotels, eco tourism, etc.
