Stating that patient service is God’s service, noted social activist Meenakshi Patil has stated that nurses are nothing less than God’s incarnation and a divine gift to humanity. She was speaking at a public function to celebrate the International Nurses Day at Arihant Hospital here. Noted ophthalmologist Dr Madhuri Dixit presided over the function. Dr Sonali Sarnobat was present as the guest of honour.
“Nurses play a major role in giving new life to patients by shouldering the burden of patient care. This is a selfless service. While they take care of their family, the nurses take care of the patients with equal commitment and devotion, hence they are God’s best gift to humanity,” Patil asserted.
Doctors treat patients in hospitals, nurses are responsible for taking care of them. Only nurses can have the strong will to serve the patients regardless of their lives. Their service is truly commendable; hence, nurses play a pivotal role in relieving the patient from any health-related problem.
Dr Sonali Sarnobat lauded the services rendered by Arihant Hospital, stating that the hospital has become a household name in a very short span of time.
“Arihant Hospital is not only famous for its excellent doctors, but now it has also come into the limelight for its best nurses,” Dr Sarnobat said, adding that managing hospital and health services without nurses is impossible.
On this occasion, the nurses were honoured with the Best Nightingale and Mother Teresa awards by the dignitaries. Hospital Chairman Raosaheb Patil, Director Abhinandan Patil, Youth Leader Uttam Patil extended greetings on Nurses Day.
Dr M D Dixit, Dr Varadaraj Gokak, Dr Nikhil Dixit, Dr Ganesh Koppad, Dr Abhishek Joshi, Dr Prashant M B, Dr Avinash Londhe, Dr Ambarish Nerlikar, and others were present.
