On Vijai's turf, Cong working out to strengthen the Party

The Congress party has resolved to strengthen the party in Fatorda, which is presently represented in the Goa Legislative Assembly by Goa Forward Chief Vijai Sardesai.

This became evident at the meeting of the Fatorda Congress block held on Tuesday, wherein the block Congress Committee had endeavoured to enroll 100 Janmitras and 3000 members as part of Congress Membership Drive initiated by the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee.

The important decision was taken at the Fatorda Block meeting held on 09/03/2021 at the South District office, Margao under the Chairmanship of Vice President Fatorda Block Niazam Ahmed and other block members. Sources said this was the second meeting held within a fortnight after reactivating the Block. 

GPCC Vice President and Membership Convenor for Fatorda block Altinho Gomes, while addressing the members laid stress on the need to conduct membership drive and explain why people should join the Congress. He said Fatorda is basically strong hold of Congress which was proved during last Lok Sabha elections where Congress candidate secured the lead. 

“We need to go to the people and win their trust”, he said, while congratulating the members for taking lead in reactivating the block and assured them all help from GPCC. 

The block members were enthused by the decision of the Congress Party to initiate he membership drive and the added thrust of the party to reach out to all old members and new in Fatorda and expressed their solidarity in this endeavor. 

The meeting was attended to by new Fatorda Congress in-charge Dr. AashishKamat, general secretary Alex Mota, working President Yogesh Nagwenkar and others.
