One dies of accident injuries
MARGAO: A 38-year-old motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries which he sustained when he was knocked down by a mini bus at Khareband, Benaulim
According to Colva police, the incident occurred on February 6, when the motorcyclist, one Venkatesh Handi (38), resident of Mungul, was knocked down by a mini bus driven by one Damodar, which was proceeding from Varca towards Khareband, Benaulim.
Upon getting information, the Colva police registered an offence under sections 279 and 304-A of IPC.
Minor kidnapped, sexually abused
MARGAO: The Cuncolim police have registered an offence against one Kudbodin, resident of Salcete and native of Karnataka, who is suspected to have allegedly kidnapped the minor daughter of the complainant on his motorcycle and later allegedly sexually abused her.
The father of the minor claimed that the incident occurred on March 5. The Cuncolim police registered an offence under sections 363, 376 of IPC and section 3 of POSCO & 8 of GCA.
Further investigations are in progress.
