One nabbed for theft, three bikes recovered

The Margao town police have nabbed a suspected member of the Dharwad-based Irani gang, one Mohammad Malang, who is suspected to have been involved in theft of two-wheelers from Dhaward. Three motorcycles have also been recovered from him.
According to Margao town police, the Irani gang operates in Dharwad and other neighbouring areas. The motorcycles so recovered are also from Dharwad. Police said two of the suspect's other accomplices managed to escape the police net.
Margao police claimed two other members of the Irani gang have been reportedly arrested in Bhopal. Police said they are awaiting their transit to Goa to help get more information about the activities of this Irani gang.
The three motorcycles recovered from the suspect have been attached by the police. An offence under Sections 356 and 379 of IPC has been reigstered.
Further investigations are in progress.
