When contacted, the KFD Control Room at Valpoi Mamlatdar office confirmed that they got a call from Bimbal-Khotode at about 6 pm on Tuesday stating that a dead monkey was found near a residential area.
However, the officials at the control room did not confirm about the two other carcasses of monkeys.
Sources from Forest Department informed that they received information about two carcasses of monkeys late Monday evening at Hivre and Shiroli in Sattari and the post-mortem will be done on Wednesday.
It may be recalled that on Sunday, carcass of a monkey was found in Valpoi Municipal Council jurisdiction near residential area. It is learnt that about 80 KFD cases have been reported in Sattari in the last two months and two deaths have been linked to the disease.
