A delegation of residents from Palolem called on the Assistant Engineer Govind Bhat of Canacona electricity department on Thursday to know the outcome of concerns raised in a memorandum submitted to the department last week.
Stating the frequent power failures have caused havoc to their electrical appliances, the residents have informed that their normal life had been badly affected, their businesses had been suffering losses and tourists were moving to other places after finding the frequent power outages an irritant.
When residents sought a response to the memorandum, Bhat assured to try and address their concerns.
