In a dig at the Aam Aadmi Party, Chief Minister, Laxmikant Parsekar has said that AAP is good in just sensationalising news.
PANAJI: Giving his own party s example, Parsekar said, “It took us (BJP) ten years to create a base in Goa. It was only when the local boys were gradually projected that they start getting accepted by people”. Parsekar said, “I remember when Vajpayeeji came to Goa. People went to listen to him in thousands. But, when ballot-boxes were opened after a week, we couldn t cross 250 votes in the constituency”. He said it was not a matter of one day or few days but sustained effort was required. He was speaking on the sidelines of 108th annual general meeting of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Parsekar comments come after AAP s national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, visited Goa last week and met fishermen, local youth and small hoteliers.
