Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has called upon companies to participate in social service activities in the State.
Sawant was speaking after inaugurating the Anganwadi building constructed by the Lupin Foundation at Kudne-Bicholim.
“Various companies and establishments in the State have carried out many social service initiatives and Lupin Foundation has been implementing many initiatives for agricultural development of Kudne village,” said Sawant.
Sawant appealed to various companies to come forward and participate in social service activities in the State.
“My dream is to make the State, every village and every household self-reliant. The government is also ready to extend full cooperation for the implementation of new initiatives by people.”
Lupin Foundation officer Tushar Shankara, Kudnem Sarpanch Mahendra Ekwade and others were present on this occasion.
A large number of people from Kudne village have been socially supported by Lupin Foundation through various means.
On the occasion, farmers were given seed bags, milk producers were given milk utensils and students were given schools bags and other items.
Women who have become self-reliant by selling food products were honoured with special gifts.
