Pathology conference held in Bambolim
PANAJI: The Indian Academy of Cytologists in association with the International Academy of Cytology organised a three-day international conference in pathology in the Nursing College in Bambolim. Doctors from USA, Russia, Sweden, Grenada, Middle East, Egypt, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and from 23 Indian states participated. The conference was chaired and coordinated by Dr RG Wiseman Pinto.
The faculty was Dr Elvio Silva (MD Anderson Cancer Centre,Houston, Texas, USA and Cedars Sinai Medical Centre, Los Angeles, California, USA), Dr Henryk Domanski (Skane University Hospital, Lund, Sweden), Dr Irena Shabalova (Russian Medical Academy of Post Graduate Education, Moscow, Russia), Dr Anna Maria Domanski (Skane University Hospital Lund, Sweden), Dr Anita Borges (SL Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai), Dr DK Mishra (LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad), Dr Kavita Mardi (Shimla ) and Dr V Neeravari ( Koppal, Karnataka).
Various topics were covered and 250 research scientific oral papers and posters were presented. Goa Medical Council gave CME accreditation with 12 CME credit hours for this conference.
