The Pernem fire services attended to three different calls in Pernem taluka on Friday.
According to the fire personnel, a mango tree collapsed on a car washing centre
belonging to Babu Rama Ajmi at Morjim.
In the second incident, fire fighters rescued a buffalo from the well at Chawdewada-
Parsem. Meanwhile, a huge rosewood tree collapsed on a plantation at Mopa, destroying
15 arecanut trees and two coconut trees. Pernem fire fighters officer
Pradeep Mandrekar, Prashant Dhargalkar, Rohan Gauns, Nitin Chodankar, Kishore Gaonkar, Ranjit Gaonkar, Yogesh Mainkar, Prajyot Hoble, Laxmidas Harmalkar, Hanuman Malik and Babu Shetkar took part in the operations.
