Political fever is expected to rise over the next few days as union ministers as well as senior leaders from the BJP and Congress will be visiting the State.
On Saturday, Congress election observer to Goa P Chidambaram and the party’s Goa in-charge Gundu Rao will arrive in the State as part of a three-day visit.
Later on September 20, BJP’s Goa Incharge Devendra Fadnavis will be in the State, while two union ministers, Kishan Reddy and Darshana Jardosh, will also visit Goa.
Chidambaram will convene meetings with Congress leaders of Cumbharjua and Santa Cruz constituencies in North Goa as well as Quepem and Vasco constituencies in South Goa. The Congress camp got a boost when Chidambaram was appointed as the election observer for the party in the State.
The BJP will be relying on Fadnavis, who is the Goa in-charge, having earlier served as the party in-charge in Bihar, where the BJP was successful in the elections.
Fadnavis will be visiting the State for the first time since his appointment as the Goa in-charge for BJP. He will convene a meeting with BJP core committee and then decide on the future strategies for the party.
“Fadnavis is expected to visit Goa more often as assembly elections approach,” said a BJP worker.
