MARGAO: The Congress has dared the government to order an inquiry into the work on improvement of infrastructure around the KTC Bus stand, Margao on arrival of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in connection with the Viksit Bharat programme in Margao in February last year.
Exhibiting documents obtained from the PWD under RTI, Congress leader Savio Coutinho stated that after undergoing great difficulty and after several RTI applications and appeals, he has been furnished information in bits and pieces. “Over Rs 120 crores is claimed to have been spent on various works executed by the PWD in Margao and surrounding constituencies, even though some of the works had absolutely no connection with the PMs visit”, he told the media.
