“Nigerians come here and dictate terms. In Delhi, Bengaluru and the entire country as well one will find them waiting outside pubs. Why? We should drive these Nigerians out of here. The government of India has to make an attempt. Have they come here to study? Are they really studying? Are they really going to college, schools? There should be a probe to find out if they are going to bogus schools or bogus typing schools. This is a serious matter,” the former home minister replied when asked for his opinion on Nigerians living in the State. He, however, said that he didn t have a problem if Nigerians came to Goa as tourists and don t indulge in anything else. While explaining the situation, Naik used a racial slur term which is also known as the N-word while referring to the trouble regarding African origin nationals in Delhi, in which an AAP MLA was involved. Naik also called for a check on pharmacies in the coastal belt of the State, saying that ecstasy pills are being sold over the counter in certain pharmacies in the coastal belt.
