Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, is organizing a musical programme “Sham-E-Gulzar” on August 18, 2019, at 6.30 pm in the Conference Hall of the bhavan.
Renowned artistes from the field of music Mitali Chavan, Rajesh Madgaokar and Sudhakar Shanbag will enthral music lovers with their melodious performances.
The eminent singers will be accompanied by compere Rohit Ganu, Vishnu Shirodkar (keyboard), Nihaal Kane (assistant keyboard), Avadutt Chari (dholak), Prakash Amonkar (octopad) and Surjit Thali (tabla).
The musical evening will see popular and melodious Hindi songs of Gulzarsaab, prominent lyricist, shayar (poet) and filmmaker.
Mitali Chavan has conceptualized the programme on the occasion of the birthday of Gulzarsaab. Gulzarsaab’s shayaree has a special place in the heart of music lovers.
The programme will cover his songs from black and white era to retro A R Rehman.
It will also have songs from the movies directed by Gulzarsaab.
This unique programme will culminate into a musical evening aimed at creating an eternal bond with music lovers.
