Quiz, singing contest at IMB
PANAJI: Institute Menezes Braganza (IMB) Panaji will organise an all Goa inter school quiz and singing competition on the eve of Goa Revolution Day.
The quiz will be held on June 17, at 9 am for the students of Std 8 to 10 on the theme 'History of Goa's Freedom Movement 1510-1961.'
Winners will be awarded cash prizes. First round for the competition will be a written test. Four teams will be selected for the final round. Entry for participation should reach IMB by June 10.
Similarly a patriotic solo singing competition will be held on July 17, at 3 pm for singers from Goa in the age group of 20 to 40 years.
The song has to be based on Goan patriotism in Hindi, Marathi or Konkani. Practice session will be held on July12, from 9 am to 1 pm at IMB. Musicians will be provided by IMB. Winners of the competition will be awarded cash prizes.
