Highlighting the issue of land losers at the Mopa airport project, Curtorim MLA Reginaldo Lourenco decried the show-cause notice to a land loser who had been working at the airport site on compensatory grounds.
Speaking in the Assembly on Thursday, Lourenco said the person had been employed after his family had lost land for the Mopa airport, adding that the construction company had now issued a show-cause notice to the worker. “This should not happen and the issue should be nipped in the bud. The company should know that this issue has been raised in the assembly,” said Lourenco, while placing details of the worker in the House.
The MLA also raised the issue of para teachers and vocational teachers who had not been regularised in their services.
