The New Board of Directors of the Lions Club of Margao and the Lioness for the year 2016“17 will be installed ceremoniously, under the leadership of Lion Siddharth Revankar, a businessman from Margao and Lion Lady Swati Revankar as presidents respectively, on July 9 at 8 p.m.
Lion Kiran Kulkarni has been elected as the new club Secretary and Lion Yogiraj Borkar will be the club treasurer.
The function will be held at the Daivajna Samaj Hall, Margao for which Nitin Kunkolienkar, Director of Smart Link, has consented to be the chief guest and newly-elected Vice District Governor I, of Lionistic District 317-B Lion MJF Saish Prabhu Lawande will be the installing officer.
Revankar will be the 54th President of Lions Club of Margao. During these years, the club has initiated numerous service activities and humanitarian projects, for eg. Blood Bank at Hospicio Hospital, the Lions Ambulance and Hearse Van Services & the Lions Orthopaedic Appliances Bank, etc. Recently, the club has set up, with assistance from the Department of Social Welfare, a Recreation Centre for Senior Citizens which has proved to be very popular with senior citizens in and around Margao
