The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has condemned the rape incident, which occurred in Panaji on Monday night in which a migrant from Zuarinagar was involved.

Speaking to reporters in Panaji, on Tuesday, RGP supremo Manoj Parab said that the rape on the student who had come to tour Goa is highly condemnable.

Parab further blamed the rising migrants population in the State, which he said is the reason behind such rapes.

Further, Parab blamed the BJP government for failing to protect women from such elements.

“The police have time to issue challans to traffic violators but they don’t have time to patrol the streets,” Parab pointed out while laying the blame squarely on Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who is also the Home Minister.

“The CM is probably busy in clicking selfies due to which he has little time in tackling the law and order situation in the State, which is deteriorating by the passing day,” Parab informed and urged the CM to at least wake up now as Goa’s image is taking a beating due to rising crimes, particularly against women.
