PERNEM : A woman was seriously injured after a stray cow collided with her scooter at Korgao in Pernem on Friday evening.
The accident occurred when Julia Kattamani was riding from Pernem to her home in Korgao. A cow suddenly wandered onto the road and collided with her scooter.
The impact threw Kattamani onto the road, leaving her with multiple injuries.
Passers-by rushed to help and shifted her to a hospital for treatment.
VASCO: One of the unique features of the pilgrimage is ‘Shwan Mauli’, the dog that first joined the Varkaris during the inaugural Vari from Cortalim. The faithful companion completed the entire pilgrimage and was later adopted by one of the devotees. Since then, Shwan Mauli has become an integral part of the annual Vari and is once again accompanying the pilgrims for the third consecutive year.
