Road submerged under water at Davkon on Sunday.
PONDA
Due to rising water levels in the Dudhsagar river at Nirankal, the road was submerged underwater on Sunday morning, leading to the closure of vehicular traffic on the Dabal-Ponda route. Traffic was redirected through Dharbandora. Similarly, the bridge at Deulmal-Sacorda and the road at Davkon-Dharbandora were also submerged, causing significant inconvenience to local residents.
In Davkon, locals had to navigate through the forest as the road was underwater. Inspector Sagun Sawant from Collem Police Station promptly deployed staff to oversee the situation upon receiving the information. Police have advised residents to stay vigilant as there is a risk of water entering some houses in the village. Additionally, at Deulwada, the bridge over the Ragada river was submerged, prompting traffic diversions via Barabhumi. Police remained stationed in the area until Sunday evening to monitor developments.
