Roads in Pilar, Goa Velha get facelift

AGASSAIM: The long-awaited tarring work of the Mascarenhas Waddo road in Goa Velha and Joriche Bhat road in Pilar has been taken up at a cost of Rs 3.5 lakh.

The tarring work was jointly taken up with panchayat funds.

According to St Andre Sarpanch Jagdish Bhobe, both mud roads were in bad condition and were causing inconvenience to motorists.

“People used to face a lot of inconvenience due to these muddy roads. The proposal was submitted to the panchas concerned and it was decided to construct both roads with panchayat funds,” informed Bhobe.
