Robbery at Candolim, theft at Mapusa

A gold chain was robbed from a person after he was assaulted at Candolim, while a mangalsutra was stolen from the purse of a woman travelling from Sawantwadi to Mapusa in two separate incidents.
In one incident, unknown persons took Arjun Dedadolkar in a car on the pretext of showing him a bungalow for sale. After taking him to Candolim, they threatened and assaulted him, snatched his gold chain worth Rs 50,000 and cash Rs 9,500, before fleeing from the site.
Calangute Police have registered a complaint against unknown culprits under Sections 323, 356 and 379 IPC.
In the second incident, Mayalata Shirodkar from Pomburpa was travelling from Sawantwadi to Mapusa in a KTC bus and had kept her mangalsutra worth Rs 1.5 lakh in her purse.
When she reached the Mapusa bus station, she found that the mangalsutra was stolen. Mapusa police have registered a complaint under Section 379 IPC against unidentified persons.

Court asks cops to submit case diary in Anjuna assault case
