Sakhali teacher gets award

Sameer Atma Prabhu, a computer teacher of Government Higher Secondary School at Sakhali, has been awarded the 'Bharat Shiksha Ratan Award' instituted by Global Society New Delhi, for his services in computers over the last 15 years.
The award was presented to Prabhu by former CBI director Sardar Joginder Singh at a function in New Delhi recently.
Prabhu is also founder president of Nyas Sanstha Sakhali, founder president of Radhakrishna Sangeet Academy Sakhali and former president of Samrat Club Sakhali.
He is also a member of Konkani Sewa Kendra Sakhali, Sahitya Manthan Sattari, Lokdayaz Keri Sattari, and member of Sahas Academy Sakhali. He also imparts training to teachers through Google India and has won many awards for meritorious teaching and documentary production.
