Sangli native dies in Dhavali accident

A 40-year-old native of Sangli-Maharashtra died in a road accident at Dhavali-Farmagudi bypass road in Ponda on Sunday.
According to Ponda Police, Vithal Karanjwadekar was proceeding on his two-wheeler (GA-01-E-9501) towards Dhavali, when he was knocked down by an oncoming truck (MH-50-4747) near a two-wheeler showroom along the bypass road at Dhavali.
The police said the deceased succumbed to head injuries he had sustained. The body was sent to GMC Hospital in Bambolim. Ponda Police are further investigating the case.
